In rare cases you may have began using another software to create a financial plan for your client instead of creating one inside of the Clarity platform. This article shows you the steps on how to import the data from an external financial plan into the Clarity platform.

First select the client you would like to import the financial plan for and then select 'Plans' and then 'Financial Plan' from the dropdown menu.

Once you are on the Financial Plan page, export the current Financial Plan to excel. Even if there are no figures here, it will give you the template to edit before reimporting. It's best to export after toggling on the 'Show Zero Accounts'. This will ensure all of the relevant nominal accounts are included in the export.

After exporting, the excel will look something like this.

DO NOT edit any figures which are formula's. Please also DO NOT add additional rows or columns.

Once you have edited the figures/dates on the spreadsheet, after saving you can then reimport this back into the Clarity platform and the figures will automatically update.
