Dates too far in the future or not the correct starting date

Firstly, the Financial Plan (FP) flows off the back of the Action Plan (AP). The FP cannot be created without an AP. If you attempt to create a FP you will be asked in the platform to first create an AP.

Secondly, the starting month of the FP will be the proceeding month of the end of the AP. E.g. the action plan ends in December 2023. The FP will begin in January 2024 and go for the next 12 months.

Thirdly, the FP is effectively a budget. It is completely customisable. You can export the FP and make changes in the spreadsheet, then reimport. You can change each cell one at a time or by a value across multiple fields.

If your date at the beginning of the FP is too far in the future, you will need to recreate your AP. This is simple by clicking Numbers > Future (adjust the sliders where applicable to replicate the improvements you had) (to find the historical improvements, click the dropdown menu from the top left, click DealFlow, choose the correct board (most likely Advisory) and click the client card. Click "see more" to show all the numbers that were improved in the past).

Now click Create Action Plan in the top right hand side of the future numbers screen, ensure both boxes are ticked (copy uncompleted tasks and replace existing AP). Click Next until the final field "how can we help" and choose any card before clicking "Continue" then click "Finish".

You can now recreate the FP from the FP screen with the new dates.

If you need to change the FP dates to earlier, you can click replace "choose historical start date" and change it from there.
